Gemini and Apex Forge Exclusive Partnership for Crypto Prediction Markets

Gemini, the well‑known crypto exchange, and Apex Fintech Solutions have signed a non‑binding letter of intent to position Gemini’s Titan platform as the exclusive regulated marketplace for crypto event contracts that brokerage firms will sell through Apex’s Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) services.

Under the proposed arrangement, brokerages that partner with Apex would route all execution and clearing of crypto event contracts to Gemini. This move gives Gemini an additional distribution channel for its prediction‑market products, while allowing brokerages to tap into Gemini’s regulated contract‑market infrastructure.

Apex supplies trading and clearing infrastructure to a broad base of financial firms, reportedly serving tens of millions of investors. Gemini, for its part, has been expanding its regulated prediction‑market operations since the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved its designated contract‑market status in December 2025, and since it began in‑house derivative clearing in April.

The two companies already collaborate on equity trading. Apex Clearing provides custody and clearing services for Gemini’s zero‑commission U.S. equities offering, which launched in July.

The partnership comes at a time when prediction markets are facing legal scrutiny in the United States. In a recent ruling, a Washington state judge directed Kalshi to halt the sale of a wide range of event contracts in the state after the company argued that federal commodities law preempts state gambling law. The decision underscores the regulatory uncertainty surrounding crypto‑based prediction markets.

Gemini and Apex’s collaboration seeks to navigate this evolving legal landscape by leveraging regulated clearing and compliance frameworks while expanding access for brokerage clients.
